I am going to have to move this to the manure thread so I can address you guys appropriately. I have been living all by myself (with Grace, my daughter, Kady, Stormy, and Dixie) for the last 2 months! I am not planning anything!

    So who's eloping??

Doesn't seem like something that just pops into you head. I'm still skeptical.

I'm here ;) I managed to get some decent computer time!

I eloped to New Orleans in 2006. We got married on a stone bridge in City Park (location of the oldest group of oak trees in America). Some of the oaks had been killed by Katrina but most of them still stood and hung heavy with leaves and spanish moss. Hibiscus flowers grew wild. It was *gorgeous*. My brother and his girlfriend were our witnesses. A local minister wed us and his wife was the photographer.

Then we spent the week in Nola for our honeymoon.

A couple weeks after we came back our families got together at my parent's house to celebrate. Low key, cheap, stress-free and tons of fun. I don't regret a single second!

I didn't do it, but wished I did. I was left with a hokey dress, corny wedding pics, bickering, etc. The most enjoyable part of the whole experience was the honeymoon, so looking back on it, I wished I would have skipped the circuses.
