This is Tiger. She's our itty bitty baby Children's Python. Isn't she the cutest thing you have ever seen? You know she is! and now a little bit bigger 2 months later. (this month) She's about 4 months old now and a whopping 17 grams and about 13 or 14 inches long. And this is Samson, our rescued Ball Python. He was abandoned and was under weight when we got him. He is now eating a rat weanling every 5 days and is fattening right up. He is over 300 grams and about 2 feet long. We guess around 9-12 months old. Thank you BUC for donating Samson's tank!

They're cute. Our 16 yr old used to have California King, but I don't really miss his feeding time. Those poor little "pinkies & fuzzies". I hated that part, but it was very educational for the kiddos. he was a very cool snake, until he got out ne day, and wrapped himself around the shower head and about gave DH a coronary. That was the end of "Irwin". :'( Death by shampoo bottle.
Baby girl eats "Pinkies" which are newborn baby mice. But I feed my snakes frozen rodents that have been thawed and warmed to room temp. I just got Tiger switched over from live recently... she was a bit persnickity about the dead ones.. took a little time. They are both very nice, laid back, slow moving snakes. If you ever get in our neck of the woods, let me know. You can come by and touch Samson. He won't mind at all.
That baby IS cute! You can buy them that little? If you or anyone you know wants 4 small adult female rats, their FREE for the taking! They were born here at home, so I know they've always been healthy. Hairless ... so no reptile hairballs. Two of the four are getting nasty about wanting to bite, very greedy with food, and hearing more arguements in their cage. They'll have to be dazed before being put in as a feeder, to prevent injury to the reptile. I'm hoping to find someone that can "use" them, or I'll be feeding the stray cats outside a warm meal. Or at least till they find them,... they may be ratcicles.
I bet if you advertise them as free in your local paper someone will take them right off your hands. Full size rats are too big for my snakes, and I'm a wuss... I can't stun 'em.
eeeewww! My brother (who is allergic to everything) had a Burmese Python....he used to take it everywhere he went...yuck!
Hairless are a lot smaller size as adults than other rats. The sisters are lean, very active. Running around their bodies are about 1 1/2 to 2" diameter, but are about 6" long nose to butt. I understand about the stun'n part :laugh:. Had to do it to vicious hamsters and mice when I worked in the small pets department for Wilson's Pet Supplies. Warehouse for pet shops. I had a hard time making their heads make contact with the leg on the ferret cage, then when you did, hearing that donk..ping sound. On the floor they..clunked. I felt bad for having to do it, even though they deserved to have it done. They shouldn't like eating their friends more than the food in the bowl. And it's not right selling a biting animal to a pet store that might be bought for a child. I think the cats would appreciate them more. Besides, I've been trying to get rid of them since they were babies, as pets or feeders. Where did you get Tiger? I've only heard of reptile swap meets that sell them that young. Always wanted to go to the one in Streamwood IL.

Shell- We got Tiger through our local pet shop here from a breeder their snakes come from. Someone in town special ordered one and they happened to have 2 and we were in there at the right time and overheard the conversation and said we would take her. She is so cool. 8) I'm really glad we got her.
;D Shit these Fuckin things are nastier than a roaming bear. Just a little while ago...while on chat....Payton our kitten and one in my avatar, put his paw against the cage couldn't get loose. The fuckin bitches had their teeth in his paw and hung on! (the cage's bar space is only 1/2", so it wasn't like he had his paw in the cage) It's like they were savages all try to get a hold of Payton.
