Please make sure when you upload an avatar to the server it is under 500x500 pixels. Everything above that is rejected Avatars post at 200x200, so they can be that small and load to full advantage.
The fact that I got my avatar to work on the first forum was a miracle - I'm so computer illiterate. Now I'm totally bummed that I can't get it work here. All I get is a red X - can you help me?????
I have the same problem. !@! When I try to post it I get an error message saying it is too large. ETA - OMG! I just tried again and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Finally got it to work, but can only get pics of our rats when they were babies. No other pics will work, including my horse pics. Dusty, If you have the same options as me, instead of looking under "pictures", look under "documents", then pick a photo.
If you put your photos on photobucket you can upload them in different sizes from tiny 100x 70 all the way up to 1024 x 768
So far everyone I have helped has either put in a weird file extension or tried to copy and paste the extension out of photobucket. If you use photobucket, use the DIRECT link code As always, feel free to email your pictures to me and I'll put them in for you too. Also include your USER ID. When I get an email from Joe Blow saying please put this in my avatar and nothing more, I have no clue that you are hastomanyfrickinhorses here on the forum ;D
