For those who are trying for it still. I am. ;D http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv-dream-home-2009-giveaway-enter/package/index.html?nl=HGTV-DH09-PC1_enter
Mass you used to be able to just enter each day with your email address but this time it's making me do the whole registration everytime. Am I going to the wrong page?
I think, this time, they are having you do all of it each time. With firefox, it just remembers my info and I enter my email then tab and all of it fills in. So, in other words, I'm not sure. How's that for helpful?
After I enter each day it says "remember to use the enter page and you just need to enter your email addy tomorrow" But they lie because I have to do it all each time.
Mass here's another one starting in March. http://www.myhomeideas.com/myhome/photos/0,30587,1855461,00.html
Read an article (don't remember where) that the person who won a year or so ago had to declare bankruptcy due to the taxes owed on winning plus the expenses incurred keeping up the house. Thought that was interesting to read~ Contest with prize= pay the taxes of what prize is worth (This part you can find in the IRS handbook) Good luck---those houses are always drop dead gorgeous!!
Oh no you did-n't I brought this up last time. I even posted it right out of the rules. Mass said I was a "downer"
ahhh didn't see your prior post about winnings. In fact it was my mom who showed me the article- What do you mean?
I was just pointing out you were being the downer of this post, LOL... cant these people who enter "dream" a little. ;D No need to crush that dream with the reality that 90% of america couldn't actually afford the prize if they won it!
I live on dreaming---- Hell who doesn't dream? I really do wish Mass a lot of luck in winning. Its gorgeous!
What Mass said was even if you sold it for only half it's worth, you'd still be ahead. No one in their right mind would keep it, unless they were already wealthy. I never brought up the "downer", because I could care less. But...it is how Shannon earned her "name" and not by my hand.
Mass it would be great if you could win that house--- would prove that winning something as gorgeous as this is real. BTW--- Where is this one located? I saw the picture of the exterior but missed the location
Anywhere in CA will raise the value of the house Geezz, my son is in SanDiego and a house the size of two car garage is worth 1/4 mil---incredible
