Hadn't, but I'm totally behind it. I'll have to read up, and decide which state I'll be moving to. SC or TX sounding good.

Our elected officials in the Federal government have totally overstepped their boundaries. The only real purpose for the Federal Govn't as layed out in the Constituion is to protect our borders, not this cradle-to-grave nanny state that we are becoming. They spout off about corporations and their private jets, but what about these elected officials flying around in government jets (didn't they send a jet to fly a senator back to DC, so that he could cast his vote for the end-of-Capitalism-as-we-know-it-spending bill?).

    Viva la Revolution!!!

Didn't know that either. You're just a wealth of information today!

Speaking of fun facts, they were talking about the money troubles of the US Postal Service last night on the radio. (Whatever happened to the eliminating one day per week mail delivery, anyway?). Did you know that the Postmaster General hauls in $800k/year? Not bad for a government job.

Nothing really that scary or dramatic about it; it's simply a re-affirmation of (I believe) the 10th Amendment. Some states are wanting to essentially pass a bill reaffirming the already existing amendment, and that a letter should be presented to the President and Congress telling them that those states will be enacting the 10th from here on out (which every state has had a right to do all along -- seems they/we forgot about it somewhere along the way).

There was a movement to do the same thing in IL, a petition going around to send this to the state requesting such a thing. Of course, this being IL, nobody would sign the bastard, and even if they got enough names...

Fellas, we live in the Socialist People's Republic of Illinois -- and you wanna know something? We deserve it. Look at the crooks and assorted scum bags we vote into office and then stand by and allow them to do any and everything they want to us -- even at the local level. :th_holysheep:
