She officially started out on this path as of this weekend.
I am of course enabling her ;D
Let's all give her a rousing round of :th_appl: and a hearty "good luck".

    Mr Man certianly looks fantastic.
What may I ask did she breed to him?
What are her plans/goals for said foal?

Good luck and congratulations. He's lovely ;)
When does she plan to breed her mare?

Why, she's breding our one-eyed, one testicle Jack to him, of course, only the best you know -- hoping for a miracle of modern science.

Seriously, she's breeding her mare to him -- she always has wanted to breed her, but the lack of spots was always a bit of a worry; this takes care of that (and if by some miracle of not modern science she manages to get some spots, it's win-win). She plans on going the versatility route -- everything except park horse. Plus, she and pony could end up on the 1st Cav Drill Team -- a colonel down at Hood wants her on it pretty badly.

We're doing the deed sometime this spring Syn.

NO T! We're the ones with the one eyed, ball deficient Jack!

Be nice to the stallion owner -- who is a very nice person to work with by the way. I think that's her brother or something holding the stallion -- both of them pretty nice blokes too, at least we think so.

The backyardedness is completely from our end of the equation, 'cause that's the way we roll :nana:

Seriously.....are you training the baby yourself?

Or do you have a training stables / trainer in mind?

Are there any good trainers out by you anyway?

I suppose now would be the time to be an utter shithead and say we are training ourselves, following the advice we got from some books and dvds I mean, what could go wrong?

Actually, Jessica had her trainer picks and attending vet selection lined up before the stallion. I think she has a good roster of potential trainers lined up -- both in IL and TX.

Absolutely nothing. Can I suggest Parelli's 7 games? I'm sure that would help tremendously! I think they are great!

Yeah, my damn backyard breeder kid has more luck than anyone I know -- stallion owner is bending over backwards to help her because she's young and serving her country, vet who will most likely be handling the breeding is bending over backwards because he thinks Jessica shits golden butterflies, and a couple of the trainers are doing likewise because she's serving and she shits golden butterflies.

And those of you who know my eldest are probably laughing your asses off at this, because you can see where this sort of thing would happen.

**We'll have to buy the 7 Games dvd! I never thought of that! TBitt, you're brilliant!

Yeah, he's not a bad looking devil is he? I think he'd cross pretty well with her mare, shouldn't he?

He is kinda purdy. I, personally, have hard and rules against breeding to any horse who

    A) cannot pronounce his name
    B) trying to pronounce the name results in spitting

So, I couldn't look at him for Sunny, but best of luck to Butterfly Child!

    Racist!

Heh, heh, she's already talking to the natives and asking them for a really legit name -- I'll have her have them make a list and send it to you Photo...lots of spitting guaranteed >:D
