I'm curious...what y'all are paying for crimped oats.

I have decided to add oats into my horses diet when I start working him again. I just about messed my pants when I went to the nearby feed store and saw rolled oats at $19.50/50# bag and crimped oats at $15.50/50# bag. Guess it's been a while since I have fed oats.

WOW, that seems high, to me! I'm paying $10.20/50# for whole oats right now (we cook 'em evry day) and the feed store has rolled oats for $10.90/50#, $11.10/50# for crimped. I guess the shipping from here to there would negate any savings on price/bad, though :p

I guess I need to investigate other feed stores. I thought what I paid was high but it's been so long and the economy has made it such that everything costs more.

I'm going up north on the 12th. I'll check at the feed store there and compare prices. Might pick me up a couple bags if they're cheap enough.
