My horse has a thin mane, so I can't pull it. It needs to be shorter for banding. I love how some horses have a short mane that looks like it almost curls under, how do you get it like that?

I can do that but I'm not sure how to explain it. I trim it with scissors held at an angle so that the finger hole closest to you is lower than the one closest to the horse. Don't hold the mane down when you do it, comb it, cut at the angle I mentioned only the hair that is furthest down and then comb and repeat until it's even. Even if I do pull a mane I start this way.

I do it the same way as Des.....we're so much alike ;) I also use thinning scissors on it "lightly" afterwards....Ive found this way works best on horses with thick manes...thin manes dont seem to curl as well.....
