Day before yesterday Willow looked like her hair on her back was standing up and it is a huge bump. She seamed very sore that day, I gave her some asprin and yesterday it was still there, I hoped it would go down. She doesn't seam as uncomfortable as she did the day before but it's huge. I had a doctors appointment yesterday so I was late to work and I could not ask to leave early to get her to the vet so her appointment this morning. I'm sure they will have to shave it to see it, that's going to look strange....send her good doggie vibes.

Sounds like a ruptured or bulging disk. My mom's dog had that and the swelling made her appear humpbacked.

Hum problem is not what we thought, she seams to be bleeding from a bruise and the blood is not clotting. Doc is sending in blod work and she's going to stay there for tonight.

:'(Poor baby. I always HATE leaving my dogs at a vet overnight. I get scared FOR them. Fingers crossed and positive thoughts headed your way.

I would be concerned that is was Von Willebrand's Disease, however she is 8 and was just spayed about 8 months ago. My breeding doge Cory and Toby are VWD clear by parentage, however Willow is just a pet so I never pressed having her tested. He ask if she might have gotten into rat poison and that's a huge NO. Right now she is lacking the platelets needed to clot her blood for some reason. THANK god the vet just stuck a needle in it before lacerating or she might have bled to death. Go Dr. Lindey!

This does not sound good....I hope it's not that disease, and I sure hope it's not cancer. She's part of your camping group. Poor Willow.

    Sending "good news" vibes...

He called this "sudden onset" so I'm thinking not VWD.

Wow! I'm glad you got her in!

How sad that she is really sick......She is such a doll.

Good Luck and know we hope she fully recovers - and quickly.
