Hey all - any recommendations on where I could take my pick up to have a new transmission put in?
I am in the DeKalb area...

Do recall how much it cost?
I am trying to decide if it is worth replacing my transmission or not...

I think I have paid under $500 for a junk yard transmission in a car. $1200 on a 1 ton diesel truck's to be rebuilt.

Prices can vary depending on what type of vehicle you are taking to the shop.

This was our 2001 Ford F250 diesel, from what hubby told me they had a better warranty, cheaper price then the dealers or the other shops. It was in the area of $2000 for a rebuilt trans to be put in.

If the rest of the vehicle is in good shape it is always a good idea to fix and keep it going. Especially in todays market.

    Good luck
