The denial's based on various minor issues that have been overlooked in the past, but in years past, they weren't looking to get rid of my company either. I'm appealing the decision, but I'm still waiting on the date to come in the mail. Yes, I do have a lawyer of the type that Gets Things Done. Until that day, it's a matter of survival. The commissioner of Consumer Services does not like us. She's been looking for ways to get rid of the carriages since she got into office in '05. The animal rights activists help her with her goal. One company is not renewing and has shut down, another company owner is frustrated with the City and is close to closing. That would leave one company in the City if I lost my appeal.
I am so sorry to hear this. Are you thinking of relocating to a more "carriage friendly area" if you lose your appeal?
