This is rather embarrassing, but I'll post it anyway. We all have to start somewhere, right? What did your first show/riding pictures look like? What do they look like now? Here's mine: This was back in the early 90's...my first show. This was this summer. I hope to use my first photo as 'hope' for anyone else who is starting!
Very nice! Huge difference between the two shots--- You look much more mature and confident in the second photo
come on you midwest horsey lovers!!! I wanna see some of your pictures... lets see your first horse show.. or trail riding pictures!! and a more recent one.
I've never shown before.........so I have none.... But, I'm pretty sure I'm going in the ring this year............ .....lets see what I come up with.......... >
O.K. TW since you were so brave showing that first one. This ones from 1977 looks like I'm trying to avoid the eject button. LOL Second photo is 1972 or 1973. Pony halter class at the Lee County fair.
Pretty much nothing has changed except now I'm older, uglier and fatter. Oh yeah, I also require a saddle now ;D
Ok this morning I can see the pole bending picture Des, that's cool! I didn't know you did speed stuff! BUC-CUTE! This is fun-keep em coming!
I Love those pictures!! Des I didnt know you did speed either!! BUC.. you were such a cutie pattoootie!!
I wish I could post my first schooling show picture. But it's an old Polaroid instant. I don't think anyone took pictures my second show which was a the following summer. Since then, 20+ year later I've only participated in a few events at our barn's fun shows.
Shell, the picture I posted was an old photo too and I don't have a scanner. I just take pictures of my pictures on high pixels and then crop them down to where they look descent.
I JUST found some old video from an open show YEARS (almost 20) ago at Lucky Lass that I rode in on a Pinto pony as a kid. On the same video is my first pony bucking my butt off . I wish I could figure out how to get it from VHS onto here... :- I'll have to see if I can find the pics...
I never even thought of doing this. I'll have to dig (and I mean dig) in the basement for some of my old show photos. Mine are polaroid too.
